Orange juice in Thailand taste weird 🍊 They green Fanta is fruit punch not Melon 🤦🏾♂️
🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
When I first landed in Thailand, I was so excited to dive into all the new sights, sounds, and especially the food. But what truly surprised me were the drinks! It started with the orange juice. Back home, orange juice is typically sweet and tangy, a bright, familiar flavor. But here, the orange juice had a distinct, almost floral or slightly bitter note that I wasn't expecting. It wasn't bad, just... different. I even picked up a bottle of what looked like a standard "Shin Sen 100 JUICE ORANGE" and still, the flavor profile was uniquely Thai. It made me realize how much local fruit varieties and processing methods can impact even the most common beverages. Then came the Fanta. Oh, the Fanta! I spotted a vibrant green Fanta bottle, and naturally, my mind went straight to melon, maybe even apple. But after one sip, I was completely baffled. It was fruit punch! Not a hint of melon. It's truly one of those weird Fanta flavors you only find when you travel. It got me thinking about all the other Fanta flavors you encounter in different countries. In Japan, you might find grape or peach, while in some parts of Europe, there are elderflower or blackcurrant versions. Thailand, it seems, has its own unique take on the classic soda, and the green fruit punch Fanta was definitely a memorable, if not slightly disorienting, experience. It taught me a valuable lesson: when you're traveling, always be open to new taste sensations, even in drinks you think you know well. These unexpected flavor twists are part of the adventure! Beyond the Fanta and orange juice, I also tried some local sodas and teas that were equally surprising. Some were incredibly sweet, others had herbal notes I’d never encountered, and a few were just plain mysterious. It's a fun game to try and guess the flavors! So, next time you're abroad, don't just stick to what's familiar. Grab that brightly colored, unusual-looking drink. You might just discover your new favorite, or at least have a fantastic story about a weird Fanta flavor to share!
