I use groundly app to track what grounds me, it has a big set of excercises that fit into my mood automatically and I collect what grounds me in my mood so next time in same mood I know how to ground again. What works varies depending on your mood and current state. To make this process easier, I started using a mood-tracking app that suggests grounding exercises based on how I feel. It learns which activities reset me and helps me build a toolbox of go-to techniques. For example, when I feel my nervous system racing, changing sensory input—like switching the music, dimming the lights, or splashing cold water on my face—can interrupt the spiral. Importantly, protecting your energy isn’t selfish; it’s necessary. Setting boundaries around availability ensures your body can feel safe and grounded instead of constantly on edge. Grounding isn’t about pretending to be calm—it's about recognizing overload in your body and giving it new, calming information. Everyone's healing journey is unique. By attentively collecting what grounds you and honoring your body’s signals, you can better manage stress living in the body. The key is patience and commitment; it takes time to build awareness and find reliable grounding methods, but the payoff in emotional resilience and stability is invaluable.
