When discussions shift from exchanging ideas to adopting a condescending tone, it often shuts down meaningful communication. I’ve learned that standing firm in your values and viewpoints, even if they aren’t traditionally accepted, is key to maintaining your sense of self. In my journey, I've found that setting boundaries about what kind of conversations I engage in—avoiding interactions where my expression is belittled—helps preserve my mental and emotional well-being. It’s also helpful to seek out communities and individuals who value abstract thinking and energetic connection, offering support for those who feel marginalized by rigid, closed-minded perspectives. This balance allows for a richer exchange of ideas and a celebration of diverse ways of knowing and experiencing the world.
