A novel about a court trial, a very thick book, but very, very awesome. Glad to read it.
The story is that the ten-year-old daughter of a black man was raped by two white men, and her father avenged himself by killing both unsub.
The question is, is he wrong or wrong?
In a racist society and era, on the other hand, a white father shot a black evil man, and everyone's opinion is unanimous that "not guilty" is appropriate, and there may not even be a lawsuit.
But in this case, black people shooting white people turned out to be a big deal, and it was punishable by death.
The protagonist is a white lawyer, undertaking a tense trial full of questions about justice, racism, and a very intense court battle.
