I don’t really know her
Feeling disconnected from someone you once felt close to can be confusing and emotionally challenging. It's not uncommon to realize that despite spending time with someone, you still don’t really know them. This feeling often arises when communication breaks down or when people change over time without expressing it. From my experience, one of the most helpful approaches is to shift focus from expectations to curiosity. Instead of assuming you should know everything about a person, try to learn more by asking open-ended questions and really listening to their answers. This fosters a deeper understanding and can help rebuild trust and connection. Another important aspect is acknowledging your own feelings of distance without judgment. It’s okay to feel uncertain or disconnected; recognizing these emotions allows you to address them without blame. In many cases, reconnecting requires patience and willingness from both sides. Setting aside time for honest conversations and shared experiences can gradually erase the emotional gap. Ultimately, realizing you don’t really know someone can also be an opportunity for growth. It teaches us to appreciate the complexity of human relationships and the importance of ongoing communication and empathy.
