Better way to head to sleep
I love this kinda vibe to get to heading to sleep. Read in candle light until I feel tired of it and sleep like a baby.
The candles are LED candles from Amazon. I saw them once on Amazon and fell in love. Bought some more to make it feel like there is more light. I’ve done a workout in this light because I needed to sleep and doing squats and pushups helped with sugar levels.
This time the book was “Relationships a mess worth making” by Timothy (forgot his last name) and Paul David Tripp
We are all on the spectrum of isolation or severe attachment to people.
Some want community but they’ve already put in work to isolate themselves because it feels safe. And others cannot live without people riding emotion rollercoasters of the other all the time.
God created us for community but He wants us to be in His relationship first. If we don’t have connection and relationship with God as the foundation, relating to people will get much more difficult. Because the sin we carry will continue to destroy our relationships with people.
I’m only on chapter 3.
Establishing a comforting nighttime routine can significantly improve your sleep quality. Engaging in low-stimulation activities like reading a comforting book in soft candlelight creates a tranquil ambiance that promotes relaxation. The use of LED candles from Amazon not only adds warmth to your space but also reduces harsh lighting, allowing your mind to unwind from the day’s stresses. Incorporating light exercises, such as stretching or a quick workout, can boost your body's relaxation responses. Books play a crucial role in shaping your nighttime experience. Selecting titles that resonate with your current feelings—such as self-help or motivational reads—can bring clarity and perspective before sleep. The book “Relationships: A Mess Worth Making” by Timothy Keller and Paul David Tripp explores the delicate balance between connection and solitude, offering insights on community and the importance of cultivating a relationship with God as a foundation for all interactions. Recognizing that we exist on a spectrum of connection and isolation can help us understand our needs. Some individuals may feel safer in isolation, while others thrive in communal settings. It's essential to find a personal balance that encourages healthy interactions with both oneself and others. By focusing on self-reflection through reading and contemplation, you can foster a deeper relationship with yourself, setting the stage for more meaningful connections with those around you. To further enhance your sleep routine, consider integrating calming scents through essential oils or herbal teas. These can help signal to your body that it’s time to relax, paving the way for a peaceful night of sleep.
