A slow and steady slope

I have been on a mini yo-yo as of late, I always have a harder time sticking to a plan during the warmer months, but on the 12th, I hit a number a bit too far for my comfort into the 200s (204) and pulled the full breaks! No way in hell am I going to allow myself to fall back into bad behaviors and higher weight brackets any longer! I really don’t like being in the 200s and I’d been feeling a bit more bloated, even if my clothes still fit me! I felt like I was pudgier in the belly!

I’m still going to journal my food, but this time I’m not going to nearly completely cut out carbs! I was heading into bad ED thoughts around my food and about carbs in general, and while I know I have a binge ED, I didn’t want anything new to manifest!

I’m more powerful than my ED!

So between Monday and now I’ve dropped 6.2lbs with just not over eating and measuring my foods!

PLUS! I have another VACATION coming up to visit my little niece! I can’t wait to see her again! I want to be as healthy as I can be to watch her grow up and set up being a good healthy role model!

(Plus I’m starting up again nearly a whole month sooner than last years rebound journey that had started Sept 4th, where I was 236.6lb and got down to 191.6 by Jan 6th, losing 45lbs)

My current goal is always to get back down to 140lbs, but I want to be at least 170lbs by my birthday (Nov 22)

According to the BS BMI I’m still considered Obese until I hit 175, then I’d just be classified as overweight! From 204 to 170 doesn’t sound hard to me! I’m down 6.2lbs already in just 4 days! Just 26.8lbs to my mini goal!

Another non sale victory I felt earlier in the year was not feeling full wedged in a seat on a plane (not that I’ve ever needed a seatbelt extender, and there is nothing wrong with needing one!), or that people will not look at me from the aisle and think: “oh god I gotta sit next to this obese person”

I’m feeling so highly motivated by the cooler weather! Tomorrow though is my mother’s birthday, but I won’t let it derail me!

And looking in the mirror this morning, I am already seeing a huge difference, I’m not as bloated, I’m feeling more slim less doughy! I got this!

Wish my good luck! 🙏🏻😳 #weightloss #weightlossforwomen

... Read moreIn recent months, many individuals are focusing on sustainable weight loss methods that promote both physical and mental well-being. It's essential to balance nutrition without eliminating food groups entirely, as restrictive diets can trigger disordered eating tendencies. Tracking progress through journaling can also provide motivation and accountability. The concept of a 'slow and steady' approach resonates deeply with those looking to achieve lasting results. Setting realistic goals, such as aiming for gradual weight loss rather than drastic changes, can help in reshaping one's lifestyle. Engaging activities like walking or light workouts can complement dietary changes and yield significant outcomes over time. Moreover, seeking support from communities online can be beneficial in staying motivated and finding inspiration. Sharing experiences through hashtags like #weightloss and #weightlossforwomen can create a network of encouragement. As one prepares for milestones like birthdays or vacations, focusing on being a positive role model for family can further enhance one's motivation. Progress is often measured not just by numbers but by enhanced self-esteem and overall health improvements, such as feeling comfortable in social situations or while traveling.
