Fortnite campers suck man
Okay, seriously, can we talk about Fortnite bush campers for a minute? 😩 I swear, nothing gets under my skin more than putting in all the work to take down a tough opponent – like that time I finally defeated Shogun X, feeling super proud – only for some sneaky player to pop out of nowhere, grab the medallion, and vanish back into the foliage! It's an absolute nightmare, right? I mean, I get it, everyone has their playstyle, but there's a difference between tactical positioning and just... waiting. Bush camping, especially when it involves stealing hard-earned loot or medallions, feels like such a cheap shot. It's so frustrating when you've used all your ammo, built like crazy, and barely survived, only for someone to swoop in and take your prize. It’s like, 'Dude, I did all the heavy lifting!' So, how do you even deal with these phantom players? Over time, I've picked up a few tricks that sometimes work, or at least help me feel less rage-quitty. First off, always be suspicious of dense areas. If you're heading towards a fresh loot pile or a recently defeated boss like Shogun X, do a quick scan. Use your pickaxe to chop down suspicious-looking bushes. Better yet, if you have a grenade or a shockwave, toss it in. You’d be surprised how many times I’ve flushed out a hidden player that way! Another thing I've learned is to never assume an area is clear just because you don't see anyone. If you've just taken down a big target and know there's a medallion involved, take a moment. Look around, listen for footsteps, and maybe even throw down a quick wall or ramp for cover before you go for the loot. The worst thing is to be caught off guard while you're busy looting. What really grabs me is when they do it with the medallions. Medallions are such a game-changer with the shield regen, and having one stolen after all that effort just makes me want to scream. I’ve started carrying more mobility items specifically for these situations. If I see someone trying to snatch it, I'll try to shockwave or use a grapple hook to close the distance quickly. Sometimes it works, sometimes they're too fast, but at least I feel like I'm fighting back. Honestly, it's a constant battle, and sometimes you just have to laugh it off (or cry a little inside). But sharing these moments with other players makes it a bit better. What are your worst bush camper stories? And more importantly, how do YOU deal with those sneaky medallion thieves in Fortnite? Let me know, maybe we can figure out a foolproof strategy together! One time, I actually turned the tables on a bush camper. I had just downed a player and was about to get their loot when I spotted a bush wiggling slightly in the distance. Instead of going straight for the loot, I pretended to, then quickly turned and fired a few shots into the suspicious bush. Lo and behold, a bush camper popped out, completely surprised! I managed to eliminate them and get both sets of loot. It felt like sweet, sweet revenge. It's moments like those that make the game fun, even with all the frustration. So remember, vigilance is key, and sometimes a little bit of calculated trickery can go a long way against those annoying bush campers in Fortnite!
