My family and I just took a trip down to Mexico on the Royal Caribbean cruise which was TONS of fun! Here’s the beach we went to (which I picked by the way so go me) and some main pointers!
1. It’s ALL INCLUSIVE!! When you go to a place out of the US, there are places like this that label themselves all inclusive which is partially true. Lots of servers are there to help out and speak English and Spanish! There’s also tons and tons of beach chairs and umbrellas that go on for miles
2. What you do need to pay for 💰
I wouldn’t lie to you and say there isn’t a price, obviously you have to pay when you get in (btw 17-12 is a cheaper price of $47 according to the website) where adults are $68 but I promise you it’s so so worth it! When you pay you get all day eat and drink, free wifi, access to both pool and beach, access to bars, and lounge chairs and umbrellas
3. Optional Pay
Now if you want to really indulge you can pay $14 more to get what’s called the fun pass where this includes floating waterpark, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, snorkel gear, life jackets, and water hammocks. This to me is SO WORTH THE MONEY! I used the paddle board half the time I was there! I highly recommend for ages 12 and up!
4. Secret tips 🤫
Now here’s a little insight, technically if you didn’t want to pay for the fun pass and just wanted to play on the floating water park… you could! Just don’t get caught! Also there is a cool pier! It has two sets of swings the go right into the ocean! Another last thing to mention is that there are people who advertise jet skis and banana boats but those aren’t apart of the fun pass (I wish they were) and I think the jet ski is $75 more so just
be careful!

... Read moreAfter our incredible Royal Caribbean cruise docked in Cozumel, Mexico, finding the perfect beach was top priority! And let me tell you, Paradise Beach Cozumel truly lived up to its name. If you're wondering how to get there from the cruise port, taxis are readily available and it's a straightforward, short ride. Agree on the price before you hop in, but it's usually very reasonable. Upon arrival, the vibrant atmosphere and the sheer beauty of the ocean immediately hit you.
Now, about that 'clear water' everyone talks about – it’s absolutely stunning! The water at Paradise Beach is crystal-clear, a beautiful turquoise that’s perfect for swimming, floating, and just enjoying the Caribbean warmth. Even if you don't opt for the Fun Pass, just wading in the shallows or swimming out a bit is an experience in itself. While dedicated snorkeling might be better at other spots, you can definitely spot some small fish around the pier or closer to the rocks if you bring your own gear. It’s truly a picturesque scene, perfect for capturing those 'paradise beach cozumel photos' you see online.
The all-inclusive aspect here really makes a difference. Beyond the entry fee, knowing that your food and drinks are covered means you can truly relax without constantly reaching for your wallet. I loved being able to grab a fresh taco or a cold drink whenever I wanted, and the service from the staff was always friendly and attentive. They move around effortlessly, making sure everyone is comfortable. For families, this place is fantastic. The pools are great for kids, and the beach is expansive enough that it never feels too crowded, even with all the fun activities.
My top tip for your visit? Arrive a bit earlier in the day to stake out your ideal spot under an umbrella – though there are plenty to go around! And while the Fun Pass is amazing for the floating water park and paddleboards, don't forget about the cool pier with its ocean swings. They make for some incredible photo opportunities and a unique way to enjoy the clear water. Remember to bring plenty of biodegradable sunscreen, a good book, and perhaps a waterproof phone case to snap those unforgettable moments. Paradise Beach Cozumel truly offers a full day of relaxation and excitement, making it a must-visit when you're in Cozumel!
