💚 My Story:

As long as I could remember I was always “thicker” but still had a semi flat tummy. As I got older I gained healthy and unhealthy weight as one does. I met my husband at 18 and gained “relationships” weight, resulting in getting a belly and then had baby number one and then baby number two and the weight just kept adding on and on.

💚 How I Felt:

I felt gross. I feel gross. All. The. Time. I love what my body has done for me. It’s created and carried two healthy babies. When I was pregnant with baby number two I decided that after she was born I was going to get back in shape. I just want to feel better and look better. I don’t need to have the flattest stomach, or the biggest biceps. I just want to be able to run around with my kids and not feel like I’m having a heart attack. 😂🥲

💚 My Takeaways:

While I was pregnant I was dead set on being more active and I am going to hold myself to it! What better way then to log my new health/fitness journey here with strangers. I have nothing to lose and nothing to hide! ☺️ I’m so excited to share this journey with anyone who cares to follow along!

💚 75 Medium:

I decided to make my own list where it would fit me most and my schedule/needs. I would love to sit any read 10 pages a day or get two work outs in or stick to a strict diet but for myself if the bar is set too high I know I’ll give up and so choosing things that work for me just insures me that I am more likely to continue on. There will be no quitting! I. AM. DETERMINED.

It's about making fitness work *for us*, not the other way around. When I started my own fitness journey after having my little ones, I quickly realized that traditional gym routines weren't going to cut it. I couldn't commit to an hour-long class, and often, just getting out the door felt like a marathon. So, I started small, just like the '75 Medium' concept suggests. Here are a few tips for building a realistic mom workout routine that I've found incredibly helpful: Embrace Short Bursts: You don't need an hour. Can you do 10-15 minutes of squats, lunges, and planks during nap time? Or a quick dance party with your kids? Even a 20-minute brisk walk with the stroller counts! The OCR even mentions 'Workout' rules, implying it doesn't have to be massive workouts. Consistency is key, not duration. Make it a Family Affair: My kids actually love joining in! Stroller walks become a daily ritual, or we'll put on some music and have a 'dance-off' in the living room. It's a great way to bond and get moving. Utilize At-Home Resources: There are tons of free workout videos online – from yoga to HIIT – that you can do from your living room. No gym membership needed, which saves time and money. Prioritize Hydration and Nutrition: This is huge! Just like the '75 Soft' plan highlights '1 gallon water' and 'mindful eating,' what you put into your body fuels your workouts and your energy levels. Try to drink plenty of water throughout the day and focus on whole, unprocessed foods. It's not about strict dieting, but about nourishing your body for the long haul. Listen to Your Body (especially Postpartum): Your body has done incredible things! If you're *postpartum*, be gentle with yourself and get clearance from your doctor before jumping into intense workouts. Focus on core recovery and rebuilding strength gradually. It's okay if your body feels different or if your size has changed – the journey is about health and strength, not a number on a scale. Even going from a size 12 to 14/16 or 20/22, as shown in the OCR, is part of the journey, and it's about feeling good, not just a number. Find Your 'Why': Just like the original post, having a clear reason – whether it's to keep up with your kids, feel more confident, or simply boost your mood – will keep you motivated on those tough days. Remember, this isn't about perfection; it's about progress. Celebrate every small win, whether it's drinking all your water or getting in a 15-minute walk. Your fitness journey as a mom is unique, and creating a routine that supports you is the most important step. Let's embrace vulnerability and keep cheering each other on!

Day 46 ✅ Weigh in came in at .3lbs more. Water is up to 41.2, muscle is up and fat is down. Not my best weigh ins this week but I’m hoping it’s just normal fluctuations of getting back in the gym after not going too much the last two weeks. Today I did a leg day which left my glutes on fire.

Today was a great day. I work an overtime shift and took a walk on my lunch break. I accidentally dropped my Apple Watch and the screen cracked. I’d forgotten that it was cracked and when I took a shower it never recovered. I’m so bummed because that is how I was tracking my steps and workouts. Hop
