Things I wish I would have known before adopting

So many things I have learned in this journey of 3.5 years.

Very exciting on our part is that our adoption has finally be finalized! We couldn’t be more thrilled and grateful that our daughter legally has our last name and the peace she feels is unimaginable.

Adopting a 15 year old, we asked her when she was 12,is not for the weak of heart but we wouldn’t change it for anything.

When we got her birth certificate in the mail with our names on it and her name with our last name attached a wave of emotion hit our family that was indescribable.
