Read moreAfter sharing a few of my favorite moments, I wanted to dive a little deeper into why Sasna and I chose such an intimate celebration, and what made our Airbnb wedding so incredibly special. When we started planning, the idea of a huge, traditional wedding felt overwhelming. We really wanted our day to be about us, our love, and sharing genuine moments with the people who truly matter most. We envisioned something cozy, personal, and full of heartfelt laughter, rather than a grand, formal affair.
That’s why an Airbnb wedding with just 15 guests felt like the perfect fit for us. It immediately took the pressure off and allowed us to create an atmosphere that was truly 'us' – relaxed, joyful, and deeply personal. Imagine having an outdoor wedding reception under a beautifully decorated wooden pergola with string lights, dining at a long table set with crisp white tablecloths, surrounded by the natural beauty of a private estate and our absolute closest friends and family. It wasn't just a venue; it was our temporary home for the celebration, making every moment feel incredibly warm and welcoming.
One of the things I loved most was the freedom it gave us. We weren't tied to strict venue rules or timelines. We could leisurely wander through the sunny grassy field for our portraits, capture sweet, spontaneous kisses under a large, majestic tree, and just truly be ourselves. Getting ready in the comfort of a charming white brick house, then descending those wooden stairs to our ceremony felt so natural and intimate, like stepping from our personal haven into a dream. The entire day unfolded at our own pace, allowing us to soak in every precious second.
Seeing our names, SASNA AND VANADY, proudly displayed on that tall, elegant arched mirror sign at the entrance truly brought tears to my eyes. It was such a beautiful, personal touch, along with the vibrant bouquet of flowers resting at its base. Every detail, from the decor to the music, felt chosen with intention and reflected our journey. Our amazing bridesmaids, in their lovely green and blue dresses, walking down the paved aisle with us towards the breathtaking floral arch, added such vibrant joy and support to the scene. Even moments like my partner in the dark suit adjusting the tie of a dear friend, or me, in my white wedding dress and veil, leaning on a wooden fence while my partner adjusted my dress, captured the genuine, candid nature of the day. And seeing a beloved, emotional man in a white shirt and floral tie tear up as I walked past was a moment I'll never forget.
For anyone considering a small, intimate wedding, I wholeheartedly say go for it! The focus shifts entirely from managing a big event to savoring every single moment. We got to truly connect with each person, share laughter, and even have those deeply emotional moments where you just feel so profoundly seen and loved. It felt less like a production and more like a heartfelt gathering of souls. It’s about creating unforgettable memories and celebrating authentic love, not just executing a plan. The intimacy allowed for genuine, uninterrupted joy, and those are the cherished memories Sasna and I will hold dear forever.
Welcome to our community! Looking forward to seeing more from you 💛
