Getting Back Into Candle Making
Some of you may already know this, but candle-making has always been one of my first loves when it comes to crafting. I actually started during COVID—just experimenting here and there with different waxes, wicks, and jars. What started off as a small hobby slowly turned into something deeper, something that helped me feel calm and creative during a chaotic time.
Since then, I’ve practiced a lot. There were moments where I’d step back for a while, then come back and try again with fresh eyes (and a fresh nose, because I swear I was nose blind for a bit). I’ve made some candles that didn’t smell like anything… and others that burned too fast or didn’t throw well. But with every batch, I learned something new. And now? My recent ones are stronger, smoother, and starting to actually feel like the vision I’ve had in my head all along.
I’m not fully ready to sell them just yet—but I’m getting close. The goal is to release some this fall, but even if the timeline shifts, I ’m proud of how far I’ve come. This has been such a long, fragrant, trial-and-error journey… and it’s finally starting to feel like it’s coming together.
Thanks for being here through all the stages of my crafting—it means more than you know. #candlemakingprocess #candlemaking #candlecrafting #candlemakingworkshops #Lemon8Diary
