... Read moreOkay, so my initial post was just a quick excited blurb about diving into Path of Exile 2, but honestly, there's so much more to talk about! After spending some time digging into the reveals, I just had to share more of my thoughts, especially concerning some of the mechanics that have really caught my eye. First off, let's talk about the new 'Relic of the Precursors map device' and relics in general. This isn't just a fancy name; it feels like a total game-changer for how we approach end-game mapping and progression. We've seen terms like 'RELIC LC' pop up, and it really makes me wonder about the strategic depth these will add. Are these relics going to be unique drops that significantly alter map modifiers, or will they be a core part of building specific strategies, almost like a new layer of character customization for our maps? I'm picturing myself trying to farm specific 'relics poe2' to synergize with my build, maybe even trying to get that perfect 'WARFRENZYSBLOOD' setup with specific relic bonuses for my LEVEL 90 characters. It adds a whole new dimension beyond just rolling maps. Then there's the 'Iron Citadel protocol'. The 'THE IRON CITADEL' being mentioned so much in the OCR makes me think this isn't just a minor zone, but perhaps a major new hub or a challenging end-game activity with its own unique rules. Will it be a new type of raid, an arena, or a series of challenging encounters that require specific gear and strategies? I'm imagining 'GUILD' groups coordinating 'iron citadel protocol' runs, trying to figure out the optimal approach to maximize rewards. The idea of a protocol implies a set of steps or conditions, which could mean really intricate boss mechanics or environmental puzzles. And 'Overwhelming Presence PoE2' – this mechanic sounds like it's going to shake up how we think about defensive and offensive strategies. Could it be a new aura, a buff, or a debuff that changes based on proximity or the number of enemies? I'm already theorycrafting how this might affect builds that rely on stacking 'Shield 3,274' or those high-level 'LEVEL 90' characters. It could force us to rethink how we engage with large packs of monsters or even single, powerful bosses. Will it be something we can actively manage, or a passive effect that encourages certain playstyles? The OCR also hinted at so many exciting things: 'MAJOR UPDATES COMING' and the promise of a 'FULL RELEASE BY CHRISTMAS' (fingers crossed!). Seeing names like 'ATALUI, BLOOD', 'DORYANI', 'DANNIC', 'GWEN', 'TUJEN', and 'ROC' mentioned alongside 'ALVA' really gets my imagination going about potential new NPCs, unique bosses, or even playable characters with deep lore connections. I'm so eager to see how these characters will tie into the expanding world of PoE2. It truly feels like Grinding Gear Games is building something monumental, and I can't wait to jump in and experience all these new features firsthand with my friends in the 'GUILD'.
