What an incredible night supporting the 3rd Annual Wounded Warrior Charity Hockey Game! The VI Sweets team decided to take a break from work and go to the game. I am so glad we did because we had an absolute blast watching the amazing game between the Comox Valley Glacier Kings and the Wounded Warriors/Local First Responders team!
Big cheers to all the players from the Comox Valley RCMP, local Fire Departments (Courtenay, Comox, Oyster River, Cumberland), BC Wildfire Service, 19 Wing CFB Comox, Glacier Kings and of course the little guys/gals who laced up their skates! It was great to see everyone come together for this important cause.
We love that the funds raised over $42,000 in the past two years alone, stay right here on Vancouver Island to support First Responders, Military Members, Veterans, and their families struggling with PTSD and Operational Stress Injuries.
From the exciting action on the ice to the the door prizes and intermission entertainment, the community spirit was amazing!
