Scarpetta Pasta Bar 🍝

‼️ Here’s a more recent detailed food review by The Ranting Panda I researched online that I recommend that you should check it out: https://therantingpanda.com/2025/02/24/food-review-scarpetta-at-amoy-street-good-value-italian-pasta-bar-restaurant-by-ex-bar-cicheti-chef/

📍: 47 Amoy St, Singapore 069873 (Nearest MRT is Maxwell)

⏰: Closed on Sun & Mon,

Tues to Sat, 11.30am to 2.30pm, 6pm to 10.30pm (closed 11.30pm on Sat, closes 11pm on Thurs)

Last month, we went to finally try Scarpetta, we came around evening like 6-7++ but the queue was so long (it’s usually a REALLY long queue, business must be doing well and it seems very hyped), we could only enter the restaurant at 9.30pm for seats. It was a great first try experience, I personally would come again for the atmosphere & the vibes! Ideal place to book for corporate dining perhaps. However, I won’t say it’s the best pastas I’ve ever tried, I’ve tried better elsewhere 🤣 But come & visit for the experience to see for yourself and don’t forget to submit your phone number to enter the queue 🙏🏻 They also serve red wine on the menu, how fancy ~ The prices are quite affordable as well.

Scarpetta

... Read moreDuring my visit to Scarpetta, I found that timing and patience are key due to its popularity and long queues, especially around dinner time. The restaurant’s unique location near Maxwell MRT makes it very accessible, and the warm, energetic vibe creates a perfect setting for both casual dining and corporate gatherings. One of the highlights I enjoyed was the Cacio e Pepe with crispy guanciale. The balance of creamy cheese and pepper with the crunchy guanciale added a delightful texture contrast that really elevates the dish. Another recommendable dish is the Bolognese Ravioli, which is generously filled and full of rich flavors. However, if you have a smaller appetite or prefer lighter portions, take note that some dishes come in small servings and might not feel very filling. For example, there was a pasta dish priced around $12-$18 that I found underwhelming due to its size. Scarpetta's operating hours from Tuesday to Saturday, with closures on Sunday and Monday, mean planning ahead is essential. Also, last orders close earlier on certain days, so checking the updated hours helps avoid disappointment. Booking ahead or submitting your phone number for queue management is highly recommended. I found the convenience of receiving a call when my table was ready great, preventing long stand-by waiting. Don’t miss pairing your meal with one of their red wines, which complements the pasta perfectly. Overall, Scarpetta offers an enjoyable Italian pasta experience in Singapore’s Amoy Street district, ideal for those who appreciate a vibrant dining environment combined with authentic Italian flavors. It’s not just about the food quality but the entire atmosphere that makes it a destination worth visiting multiple times.

place opens at 1130am, came to queue at 1120 and reached just in time for the first seating. 1. Cacio e Pepe with Crispy Guanciale to be technical about it, cacio means cheese and pepe means pepper, the addition of guanciale means it should be called Allá Gracia instead but who cares anyway. Hand

OBERHYPED PASTA BAR?? Let’s find out 👀🍝
Here’s my unfiltered review — was it really worth all the hype? I went on a Friday at noon, and it was already closed (!!). But thanks to the sweetest staff ever, who went above and beyond to slot us in for the last seating — we got in without queuing. Major win. 🙌 I’ve been dying to try this p

Scarpetta @ Amoy🍝😋
The queue last Saturday wasn't too bad! Reached at 1:15pm and was asked to come back at 1:45pm. After ordering, the food took about 5-10 mins to be served one after another. Pretty fast. Some things on the menu are seasonal, so I didn't get to try everything I had in mind.. Verdict? F

Finally went down to try Scarpetta — Queue was still snaking long…. We came down on a Saturday and queued at 5.30pm but we didn’t make the first round of seating (28 pax). We were on waitlist for the second round of seating and was seated at 7pm! Apparently if you are first few in the queue you

STOP ✋🏼🚫 Queueing for Scarpetta!!!! 🙅🏻‍♀️
I’m SO happy I found this new pasta spot in Orchard. If you’ve been to Italy and tried their pasta before, you’ll know that the pasta here is seriously legit. It tastes like the real thing, and most importantly—it’s affordable!! Staff here were also super nice and we can’t help but want to continue

Hey don’t get me wrong… I almost fainted from eating too much 😭 We literally ordered almost everything at Scarpetta: 4 appetisers, 5 pastas, 2 mains and 2 desserts… all shared among 4 people. don’t ask me how we finished it…. Price-wise, it’s pretty affordable ($17-26 for pasta) and I have to s

Scarpetta ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Waited >1.5 hours for this place, and I personally think: WORTH IT 🤤 Started queuing at 5:15pm when doors only opened at 6pm. My group of 3 was assigned 2nd seating bc the place is small (28 seats total iirc!) 😔 We came back at 7pm as instructed and were assigned a tabl

Affordable & High Quality Italian Food in Town 🤩
Tried this viral pasta spot with long queues daily and it is indeed worth it. Food I tried: 1. Auction Grade Uni Toast $18 • Slightly pricey but so worth given the 5-6 pieces of creamy urchins which were so fresh 🤤🤤🤤🤤 2. Prosciutto di Parma $19 • Prosciutto wasn't too salty but wished

LaPasta: Better than Scarpetta?
While Scarpetta did a nice job making very good pastas, but this small little pasta shop in Orchard Plaza really blew me away. LaPasta specialises in serving classic pastas that in my opinion embody the essence of pasta, using simple ingredients to make an incredible dish. To begin, we ordered t

craving for handmade pastas? come here ✨
Unfortunately, yes. We came around 8.30pm and it was fully reserved, but the staff told us we could try for an open seat around 9/9.15pm — and yes there was!!! We got bar seats and honestly the ambience was very vibrant, abit of a tighter space but we got live cooking right in front of us 🤪
