Anyone have tips to reduce the redness?

I’ve had redness on my cheeks for as long as I can remember. It’s pretty easy to cover with makeup but lately I’ve been wondering if there’s a way to help reduce it and even my skin tone. My sister gets the same redness in the same area. It doesn’t itch or have any remarkable symptoms.

Any advice?

... Read moreRedness on the cheeks is a common concern for many individuals and can stem from various factors, including genetics, weather, and even certain skincare products. To effectively address this issue, consider integrating gentle, soothing products into your skincare routine, such as those containing chamomile or aloe vera. These ingredients can provide calming effects and may help reduce inflammation. Additionally, always protect your skin from environmental irritants by using broad-spectrum sunscreen, as sun exposure can worsen redness. If you suspect that harsh cleansers or exfoliants are contributing to your sensitivity, try switching to a mild, hydrating cleanser to maintain your skin's barrier. For persistent redness, consulting with a dermatologist may prove beneficial. They can assess your skin type and suggest targeted treatments, like prescription creams or advanced therapies including laser treatments. Localized redness can also be temporarily managed with green-tinted primers or color-correcting makeup. Maintaining a consistent skincare regimen, focused on hydration and barrier repair, combined with these strategies can lead to improved skin appearance and comfort.
