A Dad is a parent too

Kids need their Dad. Dads are a steady anchor in the storm, offering strength and guidance when kids need it most. Their presence builds confidence, teaches resilience, and fills hearts with love. A father's support shapes dreams and creates a sense of security that lasts a lifetime.

A mom can do so much but also so can a dad. We each have different gifts and abilities. Some dads swear on not being emotional but I’m telling them, hug your kid. Tell them you love them.

... Read moreFathers play a crucial role in their children's development, providing emotional guidance and unwavering support. Engaging in nurturing behaviors, such as hugging and expressing love, can enhance a child's sense of security and confidence. Research shows that children with involved fathers are more likely to excel academically and socially. Dads often teach their kids life skills through play and interaction, reinforcing the bond of family. Embracing emotional expression isn't a sign of weakness but a vital aspect of fatherhood. By openly sharing feelings, dads can teach their children the importance of healthy communication and emotional intelligence. Celebrating those everyday 'dad wins', such as assisting with homework or simply being present, emphasizes the significant impact a father can have on a child’s life. The involvement of fathers leads to well-rounded and resilient children, proving that parenting is a shared journey where both parents contribute equally to a child's growth and happiness.

Is it too much setting a parent-contact rule?
My 4th grade daughter's friend keeps showing up at our house—sometimes at 7:30 AM on weekends, sometimes staying for days. She pushes boundaries, might be taking things from our storeroom, and never has her parents call or check in. The final straw? She slept over while I was away, said her pa
