One thing that proves We're All downgrading?
Okay, so I need to ask for advice. I’ve been shopping at Whole Foods for years, but last month I finally tried Safeway’s ""Signature Select"" pasta sauce. 2.99 vs. 8.99 for Rao’s. I swear I did a blind taste test with my roommates, and… no one could tell the difference.
Now I’m aware of how many ""premium"" things I’ve quietly downgraded. Kirkland (Costco) vitamins instead of GNC, Trader Joe’s 5 body lotion replacing my 30 Kiehl’s tub, even generic Zyrtec because my insurance co-pay went up. My biggest shocker is my local coffee shop now feels like a luxury. I’ve started making cold brew at home using Target’s store-brand beans.
But I’m not even mad, my credit card debt’s shrinking, and honestly, some of these cheaper options work just fine. Still, it feels… off. Am I alone here? How are y’all balancing quality vs. cost lately? Any store-brand gems I should try?

Kirkland protein bars are my fave and much cheaper than Quest or Pure Protein.
