If he's dying I hope everyone feel the pain

I saw this theory on instagram that Conrad could be sick. The poster mentioned how conrad brought up the heart issue with Adam and Jere during their dinner together, and also, how Conrad had been complaining about pain in his hands. Alluding to how his heart physically hurts with how much he loves Belly. She also brought up the line in the trailer when belly says that life is too short not to spend it with the person you love. So I am not sure if that’s the exact wording. Honestly, none of them deserve a happy ending. They all make such dumb choices, hurt each other nonstop, and never really fix their stuff. It’s like watching a train wreck you can’t look away, but you’re annoyed they all bring this on themselves. Am I the only one who thinks every TSITP character is terrible? And why would the heart thing be mentioned if it doesn’t mean something?! Thoughts?

... Read moreMany fans of TSITP (The Summer I Turned Pretty) have been speculating about Conrad's health condition ever since the subtle clues started emerging in the story. The theory about Conrad possibly having a heart issue resonates deeply with viewers because it adds a layer of emotional intensity to his character arc. When Conrad mentions his heart problem during dinner with Adam and Jere and complains about pain in his hands, it might symbolically represent the pain he feels emotionally as well as physically. In TV dramas and literature, heart problems often symbolize deep emotional turmoil or impending tragedy. The suggestion that Conrad's heart actually hurts from how much he loves Belly connects well with the show's recurring themes of love, vulnerability, and the fragility of life. Belly's line that "life is too short not to spend it with the person you love" reinforces this idea, implying a poignant message about cherishing relationships despite hardship. What makes this theory compelling is that it adds tension and urgency to the story, making fans question who deserves happiness and how their choices impact their fate. Indeed, many viewers express frustration with the TSITP characters due to their flawed decisions and ongoing conflicts, which contributes to the show's depiction of complex, imperfect human relationships. It's also worth noting that the mention of heart issues is rarely casual in storytelling. Writers intentionally include such hints to foreshadow events or deepen character development. So, this theory not only provides an explanation for Conrad’s mysterious pain but also allows viewers to anticipate potential plot twists and a more nuanced understanding of his journey. Ultimately, whether Conrad is physically dying or experiencing emotional heartache, the theory encourages fans to reflect on themes of love, loss, and growth. It also shows how intricate storytelling and character flaws can make a drama captivating and relatable. As discussions continue, it’s clear that TSITP’s ability to evoke diverse opinions speaks to its success in engaging audiences in meaningful ways.
