Reactive abuse at its finest!

6/26 Edited to

... Read moreFrom personal experience and observing toxic relationship dynamics, reactive abuse is a particularly insidious form of manipulation where the abuser, often a narcissist, deliberately provokes emotional reactions and then accuses the victim of being the abuser. This tactic not only confuses the victim but also shifts the blame away from the abuser’s own harmful behaviors. One key sign is that narcissists rarely acknowledge or discuss the chaotic and damaging actions they caused that led to your emotional response. Instead, they zero in on how you react, debating and invalidating your feelings. This can leave you doubting yourself and feeling isolated. It's essential to recognize that your emotional reaction is a natural response to their behavior, not the root problem. Setting boundaries and seeking support, whether through friends, therapy, or support groups, can be instrumental in breaking free from this cycle. Additionally, documenting interactions can help clarify patterns and provide evidence if you need to explain the situation to others. Remember, understanding reactive abuse empowers you to reclaim your emotional well-being and avoid falling into the trap of self-blame that narcissists often cultivate.

Reactive abuse is real.
When someone constantly pokes, prods, gaslights, and pushes you to your breaking point, and then points at your reaction as proof that you’re the problem—that’s not accountability, that’s manipulation. Don’t let anyone convince you that standing up for yourself or finally snapping under pressure

At the time, I was in an abusive relationship, and we were in the middle of a heated dispute. He triggered me, and, as usual, he pulled out his camera to record my reaction. He paced back and forth, clearly unsure whether to approach the car, but I stayed locked in, trying to hold my ground. The
