Bow shaped churros 🎁🎀

Yields: 8-10

For the churros:

- 220g water

- 40g sugar

- 40g unsalted cubed butter

- 1/2 tsp salt

- 20g vegetable oil

- 160g all purpose flour

- 2 large eggs

- Vegetable oil (For frying)

1. In a medium pot over medium heat, combine the water, butter, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil

2. Bring to a simmer. As soon as it simmers, take it off the heat and add the sifted flour

3. Mix with a spatula as soon as you add the flour until a smooth lump free dough forms

4. Put it back on low heat and cook while mixing until a film forms at the bottom of the pot and the dough holds together

5. Transfer to a separate bowl and allow to cool

6. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, mixing until lump free after each addition

7. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a decorative small star tip

8. Cut square pieces of parchment paper (each one is 5x5”)

9. Pipe the churros

10. Heat 2”’of vegetable oil in a medium pot to 370F

11. Fry 1-2 bows at a time. Use the parchment paper to transfer them to the oil

12. Fry until golden brown on each side

To coat:

- 1 cup sugar

- 2 tsp cinnamon

1. In a shallow bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon

2. Dip the churros in while they’re still greasy so the sugar sticks

3. Serve with dulce de leche
