There’s something about creating a weekly spread that makes a new week feel full of possibility.

This time, I paired a simple, functional layout with a hand-drawn clownfish on my brain dump page. It isn’t just there because it’s cute (although I do love him). It’s a reminder that creativity and productivity don’t have to compete—they can work together.

My weekly pages keep appointments, priorities, and habits in one place. My brain dump page is where all the ideas, reminders, and random thoughts land before they clutter my mind.

I’ve learned that I don’t need a planner that’s perfectly decorated. I need one that makes me excited to come back to it every day. If adding a little artwork helps me do that, then it’s time well spent.

Planning has never been about making beautiful pages for me. It’s about creating a space that helps me think clearly, stay focused, and enjoy the process along the way.

Do you decorate your planner, keep it minimal, or fall somewhere in between? I’d love to hear what makes you actually want to use your planner.

... Read moreIn my experience, combining a weekly planner spread with a dedicated brain dump page has been a game changer for staying organized and maintaining mental clarity. The brain dump section acts as a safe space to jot down all those swirling thoughts, reminders, and ideas that often distract me throughout the day. This practice helps unload my mind, preventing overwhelm and allowing me to focus better on my weekly priorities and appointments. While some might feel the need to create perfectly decorated planner pages, I’ve found that simple and functional layouts truly work best for me. However, adding a little creative flair—like a small hand-drawn clownfish, inspired by the one I included—brings a sense of joy and personal connection to the process. It reminds me that productivity can coexist with creativity and that the planner should be a motivating tool, not a chore. Additionally, using tools like Tombow pens can enhance the visual appeal and structure of your brain dump and weekly pages, making it easier to segment different areas like appointments, habits, or random thoughts. If you’re into bullet journaling or just looking to improve your planning habits, I encourage experimenting with blending simple layouts and creative elements to find what truly excites you to maintain your planner daily. Above all, the key is to develop a planning system that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. Whether you prefer minimal design or artistic decoration, the most effective planners are those that help you think clearly, stay focused, and ultimately enjoy the process of organizing your life.

I think there’s this part in your 20s where you start realizing that where you are now may not be where you planned to be years ago. and then it’s how we treat ourselves after that realization that starts shaping our future… in case you needed to hear it today, you have purpose even when you don’t

10 minute Ab circuit!
All you need is 10 minutes, simple but effective! Equipment is not necessary you can even just find something around the house to use for the two exercises that are weighted. TIP: Make sure to engage your core properly. This means bracing it (think pulling your belly button into your spine)
