My husband wants everything from me

My husband sat me down last night to “talk about our future,” and somehow that turned into him telling me I need to work full-time, finish my degree full-time, and still handle most of the childcare because “you’re better at routines.”

Meanwhile he works one job, comes home, and relaxes like he’s done a full marathon. When I told him this sounds impossible, he said, “Plenty of women do it.” I don’t know which women he’s talking about, but I’m pretty sure they’re superheroes.

I already feel like I’m drowning some days. Adding another full-time load on top of everything? I don’t think he understands what he’s asking or what it’s doing to me.

Is this marriage normal and I’m just weak, or is he being wildly unrealistic?
