I’ve never felt so called out in my life 😂 But this is one of those areas where a neurodivergent can capitalize on working with their brain instead of working against it. The ADHD pile system can work help out….. Or it can remain a doom pile. #adhdinwomen #neurospicy #adhdtips
Managing the infamous "ADHD pile" can feel daunting, but it’s also a unique opportunity for those with ADHD to work with their brain’s natural tendencies rather than against them. One effective method I’ve found is creating designated areas or "piles" that serve a specific purpose, like a sorting pile, an action pile, and a reference pile. This approach prevents piles from becoming a doom pile and instead makes them a productivity boost. Integrating visual cues and timers helps in maintaining focus on tasks within these piles. For example, setting a 10-minute timer to tackle items from the action pile can create manageable bursts of productivity, reducing overwhelm. Also, combining physical piles with digital tools or reminders can keep momentum going when physical clutter starts to feel taxing. Another important aspect is to treat piles as dynamic, flexible systems rather than fixed collections. Regularly revisiting and reorganizing these piles allows you to adjust based on your current priorities and energy levels, making the system work in your favor. Embracing this mindset shift turns what might seem like a chaotic system into an adaptive workflow tailored to your needs, ultimately helping balance neurodivergent traits with daily responsibilities.
