I have got no idea what I’m doing here….

But here we go, I guess! Why don’t we start with a little introduction.

Hi! My name is Charli!

I am 38 years old and live in Berkshire with my soon to be wife and our 6 kids. I was an avid reader as a child, but that all went a bit wrong when I had kids. I never found the time whilst raising small humans. In 2023 I was determined to find that love again. I read 5 books in that whole year. In 2024 I wanted to up the ante. I was going to read 10 books! I figured my goal was more than reachable…. On the 31st of December 2024 I finished my 57th book! My love of reading was well and truly rekindled, as was my new found hobby of buying books 🤣 My bank balance will never be the same again! In 2025 I have so far finished 34 books. Not sure I’ll get to as many as I did last year, but I still have time.

I will read just about any and all genres. But I am 100% a mood reader. I don’t DNF often, but when I do it’s mostly because I’m not feeling the vibes of the book and will usually try and come back to it.

So, anyway, that’s my reading journey so far. I’m always up for new recommendations!
