This slower pace truly lets you soak in the atmosphere and discover hidden gems. For those considering a visit, I’d recommend staying into the evening when Xitang’s famous lantern-lit canals come alive, creating a magical ambiance. Although I didn’t stay overnight due to a packed itinerary, this is a highlight worth planning for. Overall, Xitang offers a refreshing break from modern city life with its blend of history, art, and serene waterways.
