comically large or actually worth it?

... Read moreI recently came across the Big Volume Thickening Shampoo line at Target, and I have to say, the packaging really caught my eye—it’s a massive 12 fl oz (354mL) bottle priced at just $6.99, which seems like a steal. The shampoo is specifically marketed for fine or straight hair and claims to add fullness and body with the help of avocado and macadamia oils. From my personal experience with similar thickening shampoos, oils can be a double-edged sword. While avocado and macadamia oil are excellent for nourishment and adding softness, they can sometimes weigh down fine hair if not formulated carefully. However, this particular shampoo felt lightweight during use and did a decent job at helping my hair feel thicker and less flat. Another thing that stood out was the entire product line includes complementary items like conditioners and leave-in conditioners at the same affordable price point. For anyone struggling with frizz or limp hair, trying a coordinated set might enhance the volumizing effect and help achieve that bouncy, fuller look. It’s always worth remembering that volumizing products are most effective when paired with good hair care practices—like avoiding heavy styling products that can build up and weigh your hair down, and regular scalp exfoliation. All in all, considering the size and price, the Big Volume Thickening Shampoo at Target could be a budget-friendly option for those wanting to add volume and moisture without breaking the bank. If you have fine or straight hair and are curious about natural oil-based volume boosters, this might be worth a try rather than dismissing it as merely a gimmick.

I’ve tried purple and I have 2b-2c (wavy) and it does make my hair SUPER curly and soft, but I was told since I have wavy hair I need to try some other color bc it’s for wavy hair but I forgot the color.

I tried it and was not a fan. I think I did the frizz one and felt like it dried my hair out.
