Derm PA morning skincare routine ✨

POV: my realistic morning skincare routine as a Derm PA ☀️🧴

Here’s the order I use everything + why I keep reaching for these products:

• Prequel Gleanser — super gentle, non-stripping cleanser that leaves my skin clean without feeling tight

• Byoma Redness Relief Soothing Toner — calming, hydrating, and great for helping reduce visible redness

• Prequel Half & Half Fluid Moisturizer — lightweight but still moisturizing enough to support the skin barrier

• La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Suractive Cream — gives extra hydration + helps skin look more plump and healthy

• La Roche-Posay UV Clear Sunscreen — daily SPF is non-negotiable for protecting against premature aging and UV damage ☀️

Simple, effective, barrier-focused skincare >>>

... Read moreStarting my mornings with a gentle but effective skincare routine has truly transformed the way my skin feels and looks throughout the day. I personally swear by cleansing with the Prequel Gleanser because its pH-balanced, glycerin-rich formula cleanses without stripping moisture, which is essential for maintaining a healthy skin barrier. Many conventional cleansers leave my skin feeling tight and dry, but this one keeps it comfortable and hydrated. Following up with the Byoma Redness Relief Soothing Toner is a game changer. It contains soothing ingredients like Chamomile extract, Heartleaf water, and a Clearamide complex that combinedly work to calm redness and irritation — something I’ve noticed especially during seasonal changes or after exfoliation. This toner also supports the skin’s natural barrier, which is crucial to prevent flare-ups. I love layering the Prequel Half & Half Fluid Moisturizer next. It’s lightweight but packs ceramides and peptides that deeply nourish the skin without feeling heavy or greasy. This moisturizer visibly plumps the skin and supports hydration for several hours. Plus, the addition of ingredients like oat and inulin further soothes and protects the skin. For extra hydration and skin plumping, I apply La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Suractive Cream, enriched with hyaluronic acid and thermal spring water. This cream smooths and repairs skin while enhancing resilience. I find that double moisturizing helps combat dryness, especially if I’m spending a lot of time in air-conditioned environments. Lastly, the non-negotiable step in my routine is applying La Roche-Posay UV Clear SPF 50 sunscreen. It’s lightweight, perfect for acne-prone and redness-prone skin, and offers broad-spectrum protection with antioxidants and azelaic acid to help with redness and texture issues. I’ve learned from years in dermatology that diligent daily SPF use is the best defense against premature aging and UV damage. If you’re building a morning routine, focusing on hydration, barrier support, and gentle ingredients is key. Remember, layering the right products in the right order maximizes benefits without overwhelming your skin. Consistency and protection go hand-in-hand to maintain healthy, calm, and radiant skin every day.
