Orange Shirt Day 2025
On this Orange Shirt Day, we stand in solidarity to honor the Survivors and Victims of Residential Schools in Canada.
We take time to Remember and Recognize the atrocities and multi-generational effects that still affect Indigenous Peoples.
The Orange Shirt is used as a symbol of the forced assimilation of Indigenous Children and those Children that never made it Home from the residential schools.
This day reminds us of the Importance of acknowledging our shared history and the impact it has on Indigenous communities. Let us commit to learning, listening, and fostering understanding as we work towards Remembering, Reconciliation and Healing.
Together, we can create a Future, for the Next Seven Generations that respects and values the rich Cultures and Contributions of Indigenous peoples.
With Respect.🙏
