From my own experience, it means more than just seeing the world around us—it means perceiving what lies beneath the surface, what’s hidden by appearances or distractions. The quote from 1 Corinthians 2:14 reminds me that spiritual things require spiritual understanding; it's a reminder that awakening is a process of growth and receptivity. At times, discerning spiritual truths challenges our beliefs and comforts, pushing us to question what we take for granted. Practicing discernment has helped me stay grounded and navigate the complexities of life with greater clarity. For anyone beginning this journey, I recommend patience and daily reflection—pay attention to your inner impressions and how they resonate with deeper truths. Ultimately, discernment is a gift and a practice. It opens our eyes to the meaningful connections and realities often hidden in plain sight, urging us to live with greater purpose and awareness.
