My Everyday Digital Wellness Routine as someone who used to struggle to sleep

As someone who used to struggle to get a good night sleep, I realized I needed a routine to help my brain unwind properly before bedtime 💆🏾‍♀️✨

Just as we try to set boundaries with people in our personal lives, setting digital boundaries is just as important.

Here are few ways I unplug daily:

• I set daily screen time limit of 2 hrs on the two social media apps I use the most! Can you guess which ones? 😄

• I shut down my laptop from 9PM everyday. As a creator and entrepreneur, there are times that you might catch yourself working till midnight. I know 9pm is still kinda late but I get a lot of vacations so I’m not too mad about it.

• I don’t use my phone during my peak working hours which is typically 12-3pm. There are temptations to always be on my phone as a creator but putting my phone away and using my laptop instead is soo helpful. Any urgent calls or text I get would come through my watch anyways so it’s easier.

• I avoid (over)stimulating content at night. I rarely pick up a new show or movie to watch at night. Sometimes I just watch YouTube or ASMR to help my brain slow down and relax.

• I don’t get on my laptop first thing in the morning. TBH I fall into the trap of using my phone though cos my devotion is in a mobile app. But I try to get off quickly. I like to keep my mornings for me

• I try to write a to-do list the night before. This helps me start the day with clarity and less overwhelm.

These small digital boundaries have made a huge difference in my focus, energy, and sleep.

Would love to hear what you do to keep your digital wellbeing in check.
