Thanks Sis

When you are diabetic you use all the help tou can get. I have learned that everything starts at the gut. If your gut isn't healthy it throws everything in you body off.(I am not a Doctor this is not medical advise) West have to be intentional with our life style. We creat our own Environment for everything else what kinda car we drive, where we live, we also have to be intentional about the environment we create in our stomach. I said we because I'm also learning to treat my body and myself. I know its hard but we have to give ourself Grace to do it.

From my own experience, focusing on creating a healthy environment in my stomach has been a game-changer. Since the gut influences many aspects of our overall health, maintaining its balance can help stabilize blood sugar levels and improve digestion. One helpful practice I've adopted is keeping a sugar-free grocery list, inspired by nutrient-rich foods such as leafy greens like kale and spinach, nuts including almonds and walnuts, and proteins like salmon and tofu. These foods not only support gut health but also help reduce inflammation, which is crucial for managing diabetes. In addition, incorporating healthy fats such as olive oil and coconut oil into my meals has improved satiety and energy levels throughout the day. I also try to avoid processed sugars and soy milk that contains added sugars or rice cakes with sugar, as these can spike blood glucose. Another key factor is allowing myself grace during this learning process. Adapting to a new lifestyle isn't easy, and acknowledging small victories encourages me to stay consistent. Mindfulness about what I consume and how it affects my body reminds me that caring for my gut is about the bigger picture of wellbeing, not just numbers on a chart. Finally, hydration and herbal teas have become part of my daily routine, supporting digestion and detoxification. By intentionally shaping my gut environment with these choices, I feel more in control and hopeful about managing my diabetes effectively. Everyone's journey is unique, but these small, intentional habits can make a meaningful difference over time.
