HYROX BEIJING 25

We win some, we lose some.

HYROX is pretty much a running event and we decided to work on our runs after our 1st doubles last year.

Although we did not manage to achieve our expected timing, we did manage to shave off about 3 mins from our runs 🙏. Unfortunately this time round, we took a little longer to complete the stations and Rox.

Nevertheless, we showed up and gave our best shot.

It was a great experience training and racing together with my buddy

Till the next race one day 🚀

Although we didn't achieve our goal timing, improving our run times by three minutes was a significant milestone for us. The event combines running with functional fitness challenges like walking lunges and Rox zones, requiring both stamina and strength. What stood out for me was the walking lunges competition segment. It demands a blend of balance, control, and power, making it more than just a leg exercise but a true test of coordination under fatigue. Training specifically for these movements made a noticeable difference, proving that targeted preparation is key. One surprise this year was that we took slightly longer completing the Rox stations. This highlighted the importance of pacing and energy management across different segments of the race. Teaming up with my buddy added another layer of motivation — racing alongside someone who shares your commitment makes the grind enjoyable and rewarding. The event atmosphere at HYROX Beijing was electric, with finish line celebrations and age group competitions fueling the competitive spirit. Earning a finisher certificate felt like a proud acknowledgment of months of hard work and dedication. For anyone considering HYROX, I recommend focusing your training on running endurance complemented by functional exercises like rowing, wall balls, and especially walking lunges. Consistency in training, proper technique, and pacing strategy will enhance performance and make the race day more fulfilling. Reflecting on this experience, I’m motivated to keep improving and look forward to future HYROX challenges. It’s more than a race; it’s a community pushing each other to new limits.
