🏆🥉 unexpected Age Group podium!! 🎉🔥
🗓️ 29 Nov 2025 Saturday
Thank you Frederic for asking me to partner with you, my first time trying Mixed Doubles! 🖤
From the moment we registered, I kept telling myself, “Elina… better train your run… your partner tall and run damn fast one!!” 😂💪🏽
Both of us were traveling like crazy and barely had time to train together..didn’t even manage a proper full simulation before race day. We only squeezed in one 500m run + stations workout. But still… I’m so proud that we showed up and did this together.
Hyrox is a whole different beast, not just strength, not just endurance, but the mental game of pushing through every station, every run, even when your body wants to give up. It’s teamwork, pacing, trust, and choosing to tahan the pain and keep moving no matter what.
Thank you Fred for pushing me 💪🏽, and for the gel 🙏🏽 SERIOUSLY, that was a lifesaver during the race. It helped me recover from the side stitch so I could keep running and finish strong 😭🖤
Definitely still a lot of room to improve for next time, but happy we gave our best.
Participating in the Hyrox Mixed Doubles event was an intense and rewarding experience for me. One key takeaway was the importance of trust and communication with your partner, especially since Hyrox combines strength, endurance, and mental toughness. Though Frederic and I had very little time to train together—just a quick 500m run plus some workout stations—we managed to synchronize our pacing and support each other throughout the race. From personal experience, nutrition can make a huge difference in performance. The energy gel that Fred gave me during the event was a lifesaver, helping to ease a painful side stitch and allowing me to maintain my running momentum. This highlighted for me the critical role of fueling during endurance races, particularly in multi-discipline events like Hyrox. If you’re considering entering a Mixed Doubles Hyrox, I recommend focusing on both your individual fitness and practice working as a team. Even short, targeted sessions simulating race conditions can build confidence. Also, don't underestimate the mental game—pushing through pain and fatigue together can turn the event into a truly empowering experience. Additionally, despite the challenges of travel and busy schedules, the sense of accomplishment from crossing the finish line alongside your partner is unmatched. For future races, I plan to include more joint training sessions and work on strategic pacing to improve our overall time and endurance. Overall, Hyrox Mixed Doubles at the Singapore Expo 2025 proved to be an exciting new challenge blending fitness, strategy, and partnership, and I’m grateful for the chance to compete and grow through this experience.
