Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has unveiled the Canadian Sovereignty Act and call to action, a plan to counter illegal foreign tariffs and get Canada back to work.
If passed, the act would remove laws preventing the building of pipelines and mines and not allow a single province from stopping projects in the national interest from going forward.

Still complaining and grossly distorting the truth. The tariffs are everywhere, bro. But not on CUSMA. Only 15% of our exports have tariffs. We are working on moving these products across provincial borders. Revising housing standards to include more wood. Carney and his team are negotiating with Britian (Toronto Mayor Ms Chow just negotiated agreements with the UK on sharing resources in the entertainment industry). We're negotiating with the EU, South Korea, Australia, and now Mexico. Carney is a smart man when it comes to economics, negotiations, and trade. I seriously doubt the Alliance Party... sorry, the Conservatives would, could be doing any of this when their agenda, along with Daniel Smith, is to align Canada more with the US... a very dangerous, short-term mindset. The world is drastically changing. The US is slowly losing its superior political and military advantages and has already lost its strong economic position. Trump is weakening the US position even further as he forces countries to form economic ties and alliances not negotiated before. Trying to "work" with Trump or align ourselves more or appease him is a fools game... and ties us to a dying horse.
