Herbs I use for my 11 month old

I use herbal remedies as much as possible with my husband and I since we got married. Once the doctor cleared my daughter (at 6 months) I started adding them into her milk as well when she needed them. I make all the teas myself and dilute them with water and a tablespoon of apple juice for taste. These are the best that she’s responded to.

For reference: I’m unable to breast feed so she uses formula. She also eats both purées and table foods, and broths. #herbalist #hoodoo #Lemon8Diary #herbalmedicine #herbalmommy #firsttimemom #blackgirlcreator

... Read moreHerbal remedies can provide numerous benefits for infants and toddlers when used correctly. For instance, chamomile is well-known for its calming effects, which can aid babies experiencing teething discomfort and restlessness. Lavender, another gentle herb, can not only help alleviate anxiety but also promote better sleep. Mixing lavender with chamomile creates a powerful, natural pain relief solution that is safe for babies, making bedtime smoother for both parents and children. Additionally, rose petals can serve as a daily vitamin supplement, containing essential nutrients like vitamins A, C, and E, as well as iron and calcium, which are particularly important for developing children. Another favorite among little ones is cinnamon, known for its sweet flavor and positive effects on the immune system, especially during cold and flu seasons. Mint is often applied to ease digestive discomfort and nasal stuffiness, providing relief from colic and constipation as well. However, always remember to dilute herbal teas properly to ensure the safety of your child. Lastly, maintaining open communication with your pediatrician about herbal remedies is crucial to ensure they complement a well-balanced diet and overall health.
