Getting out of the house with 3 kids

I have learned that my kids and I do so much better in many aspects when we leave the house.

We get to explore, see new things, we’re out getting some sun, meeting people, seeing different things. My kids learn how to do other things that we wouldn’t be able to if we were home.

My personal mood feels much better when we’re not constantly trapped at home.

Now, let’s be real and honest, some outings ARE hard and they can also add up QUICK, so if you’re following a budget, pack up some snacks or lunch, head over to the park, budget for a coffee or donuts, or something

My biggest thing when we’re going to a place we’ve never been before is to make sure I have all my bases covered and know how my kids may act (ex: bring small little gadgets, know the changing diaper situation, bring a stroller or carrier (depending on the place you go to), bring snacks if that’ll keep the kids busy).

So, how should we name this series?

Let me know in the comments if you’ll be joining me 🫶🏻🫶🏻

... Read moreTaking your kids out can create lasting memories and mutual happiness while fostering social skills, creativity, and a sense of adventure. It's important to plan outings that cater to both your interests and those of your children. Engaging with nature, visiting parks, or exploring local attractions can boost their learning and emotional well-being, while also lifting your spirits. Consider activities customizable to your family's dynamics. Start smaller with local parks or community events, gradually increasing your outings as your comfort grows. Prepare for all scenarios by packing essential items, including snacks, diapers, and activities to keep them engaged, especially during longer trips. For families on a budget, there are various strategies to save money while still enjoying outings. Bringing lunch and snacks from home, opting for free activities in your community, and choosing locations that don't require an admission fee can keep costs low. This makes outings not just about spending money, but about creating experiences. Sharing these experiences with other parents can also provide additional support and ideas, so don't hesitate to tap into your community resources. In this way, leaving the house doesn't just become an escape, but a joyful adventure in family bonding.
