Nest with me 35 week pregnant

... Read moreWow, hitting 35 weeks pregnant with twins feels absolutely monumental! The 'nest with me' instinct is in full swing, and frankly, I’m running on fumes but fueled by pure excitement (and maybe a little bit of panic!). Preparing for two little ones to arrive simultaneously is truly a different ballgame compared to a singleton pregnancy. Every task feels magnified, and the clock seems to tick faster knowing they could make their grand entrance any day now. One of the biggest differences I’ve found at 35 weeks pregnant with twins is the sheer scale of everything. Instead of one tiny wardrobe to organize, it's two! My partner and I have been meticulously double-checking all our baby gear. Do we have two safe sleep spaces, whether they're bassinets or cribs? Are both car seats installed correctly and ready to go? And that double stroller – assembling it felt like a marathon in itself! The nursery has been our main nesting project. Washing, folding, and organizing all those adorable tiny clothes has been a joy, but also a reminder of how much there is to do. We've set up multiple feeding stations around the house – one in the nursery, one in the living room – complete with bottles, sterilizer, and a comfy spot for me, anticipating a lot of feeding sessions. Then there's the infamous hospital bag. For a twin pregnancy, you really need to think in twos (or more!). Besides my own essentials like comfy PJs, a super long phone charger, and snacks, I’ve packed separate going-home outfits for each baby, along with individual blankets. A good supply of newborn diapers and wipes is also in there, even though the hospital provides some, I prefer to have our preferred brands. My partner’s bag is also packed with his own snacks, entertainment, and clothes, because we know it could be a long stay. Beyond the physical preparations, there’s a lot of practical forward-planning. Meal prepping has become my new obsession. Our freezer is now stocked with easy, nutritious meals that can be quickly reheated – casseroles, soups, and muffins. I know my energy will be limited once the babies are here, so anything that saves time and effort will be a lifesaver. I've also set up a ‘postpartum recovery station’ in our bathroom, complete with all the essentials I might need for myself. Another crucial aspect of preparing for twins at 35 weeks is lining up your support system. We’ve communicated with family and friends about who can help with meals, errands, or just a listening ear in those early weeks. It’s okay to ask for help, especially when you're welcoming two babies! Lastly, I’m trying to prioritize rest, even though my body feels like it's hosting a tiny dance party 24/7. It’s a challenging but incredibly exciting time, and every little bit of preparation makes me feel more ready for our double blessing. If you're also 35 weeks pregnant with twins, you've got this!

What steamer is that? I have a Bissell. I found out months later after purchasing it, that it is recalled🤨
