how do i increase protein & fibre intake?

might prob be thinking - “protein can prob only be in protein shakes/smoothie/juices right?”

me: 🙂‍↔️ nah-ah

theres prob way more fun ways to have protein AND fibre in your meals or even desserts 👀). For me, i was on a 2 wk transformation journey to clear my gut.

trust me - forgot to do a before/after body composition analysis but i felt sooo much lighter, and my palate for salty, jelak food was somehow gone too 🫨

... Read moreIncreasing protein and fiber intake doesn't have to be boring or limited to shakes and smoothies. From personal experience, incorporating a variety of whole foods can make this process enjoyable and sustainable. For protein, try adding legumes like lentils and chickpeas to salads or soups, or sprinkle seeds like chia and hemp into your breakfast bowls. For fiber, whole grains such as quinoa, oats, and barley are excellent options that can be used in savory dishes or even desserts. During my gut reset journey, I discovered that balancing these nutrients helped not only with digestion but also with controlling cravings. For example, swapping out processed snacks for fiber-rich fruits like apples and pears paired with a handful of nuts made snacking both satisfying and nutritious. Also, incorporating fermented foods such as yogurt or kimchi supported gut health further. It's important to vary your sources so your meals stay interesting and your body receives a broad spectrum of nutrients. Experimenting with recipes that combine protein and fiber in creative ways—like chickpea flour pancakes or black bean brownies—keeps me motivated. Remember, the key is consistency and choosing foods you enjoy. This approach not only supports gut health but can also lead to feeling lighter and more energized, as I experienced. Don't hesitate to explore your pantry and local markets to find new ingredients that boost your intake and enhance your overall wellness.
