Untermyer Gardens Conservancy is FREE to visit set on the former site of the estate and Gilded Age Mansion of Samuel Untermyer.

The Indo-Persian gardens have been preserved and serve as a park open to the public.

You get incredible views of the Hudson River from the garden viewpoints.

Open: 9 AM - 7 PM in the summer

Winter hours closer a bit earlier

No dogs allowed.

No tripods allowed.

To get here from NYC:

Take 1 train to Van Cortlandt Park-242 St Station (last stop)

Transfer to Westchester Bee Line 2 Bus (northbound side of Broadway) to Dehaven Drive

OR

Grand Central Terminal, take the Metro North Hudson Line to Greystone

It’s about a 15-20 minute uphill walk to the gardens
