Introverts deserve strong core too!
Since school has started the gym is packed more than what I prefer so I’ve been working out at home. Mainly focusing on cardio making sure I reach close 10,000 steps. I also have weights to make sure I stay toned since I’m cutting while still losing weight. As far as the gym goes, I’ll only go on my off days. Thankfully my sessions are over an hour.

Finding physical activities that genuinely resonate when you're an introvert can feel like a quest, right? I've been there – the thought of a packed gym or a high-energy group class can sometimes feel more draining than the workout itself! That's why I've really embraced the power of home-based and solitary activities. It's truly a game-changer for maintaining consistency and actually enjoying the process. Beyond my personal core routine, I've discovered a whole world of options perfect for us. For strength, don't underestimate simple bodyweight exercises. Think push-ups, squats, lunges – they require no equipment and you can do them anytime, anywhere. If you have a bit of space, a set of dumbbells or even a single kettlebell can open up so many possibilities, from bicep curls to more dynamic, full-body movements. I love how I can focus entirely on my form and breath without feeling observed. And for core, foundational moves like a classic plank (even just 20 seconds at a time!) are incredibly effective. For cardio, if a treadmill isn't an option, dancing in your living room to your favorite playlist is surprisingly effective and so much fun. There are tons of free dance workouts on YouTube, catering to all fitness levels. Or, if you need to hit those 10,000 steps, exploring your local park or neighborhood on foot is fantastic. I often put on a podcast or some calming music and just walk. It’s not only great for physical health but also helps clear my head. Hiking is another excellent choice; getting out into nature provides a wonderful sense of solitude and accomplishment. Another gem for introverts is yoga or Pilates. Many apps and online platforms offer guided sessions, allowing you to practice in the comfort and privacy of your home. It’s an amazing way to build strength, flexibility, and mind-body connection without any social pressure. The quiet, focused nature of these practices can be incredibly restorative for an introverted spirit. I've found that consistency is key, and for me, that means choosing activities I genuinely look forward to, rather than feeling obligated to do. It’s all about creating a fitness routine that supports your energy levels and respects your need for personal space.
