The legal dispute between the famous singer and actor Lee Seung-gi and the president of ONE HUNDRED Label, Cha Ga-won, has intensified after the Cha Ga-won side revealed the KakaoTalk messages.
The Cha Ga-won side accused Lee Seung-gi of trying to cancel his exclusive contract by using fraud allegations. According to lawyer Hyun Dong-yup, one unit in that housing is owned by Cha Ga-won, and another unit is given to Baekhyun as a contractual beneficiary with the Jeonse system. Lee Seung-gi also asked to arrange such a thing, the lawyer said.
In order to bolster his accusation, he revealed the KakaoTalk messages that Lee Seung-gi and Cha Ga-won interacted with. In those messages, Lee Seung-gi expressed gratitude for the opportunity to move to that luxurious property and that he lived closely with other artists to stay calm.
The Cha Ga-won side insists that these messages are contrary to Lee Seung-gi's recent claims about housing. That housing arrangement was only given to luxury housing, not fraud, on convenient terms, and that the Cha Ga-won could pay Lee Seung-gi a high price for providing the property.
Lee Seung-gi's side immediately denied those allegations. In their statement, the Cha Ga-won side accused him of repeatedly disseminating inaccurate information and voicing a major problem. Lee Seung-gi's lawyer team said that the contract cancellation was not subject to salaries and settlement. Moreover, the administrative fees associated with housing were not performed according to the agreement, which is why Lee Seung-gi only had to clean it up with personal money.
"At present, ONE HUNDRED Label faces numerous complaints about employees' non-receipt of salaries, and a number of artists are also working to cancel the contract. The Ministry of Labor is also investigating the pay issues of those companies and related companies, whose investigations are due to be completed by the latter of their inquiries."
