Growing up, what was your dream job and what do you do now?
Mine was to be a professional cheerleader. I grew up being a cheerleader from the rec years throughout high school. Ive coached for recreation, Pop Warner, Middle and High school. I truly enjoy helping these young girls believe in themselves, face fears, and grow over time. My dream of being a cheerleader came to an end when I tried out for the Atlanta Falcons cheerleaders, made it, and had to move states. I was still living in my mother’s house, just graduated high school, and had no family in Atlanta. So sadly I had to give up my spot and move on with life…. Crushed me!!!!!!!
Years later, I joined the military and it has been 13 long years. I am not making it to the 20 year mark unfortunately. I ETS in November and I could not be happier. I have not felt a sense of happiness or freedom while being in the military. There have been many ups and downs and im just over it all. After the military, I plan on attending Dental school and becoming a Dentist. Right now, I have my Dental Assistant license and will use it to get some experience under my belt.
Yes , my life took a different route but thats life and you always have to be prepared for that. Always have a plan A, B, C, D, E, F, have faith and things will work out.
