Part 2 of running glow up

I was really surprised at all the different brands that @La Maison Simons carried! Also good to try the running vest in person… good to size up if you get one!

... Read moreUpgrading your running gear can truly boost your motivation and performance, and I’ve found visiting a store like La Maison Simons to be a game changer. They carry amazing brands such as KNIX, Salomon, ON, and Vuori, which offer a great mix of style, comfort, and functionality. When trying out running vests and apparel, I highly recommend sizing up a bit. This is especially true for running vests — having that little extra room can make a big difference during your runs, allowing for better movement and comfort. It also helps prevent chafing or feeling restricted, which can distract you from your workout. I recently tried on Salomon shorts, which felt practically weightless — a perfect fit whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out. Their material is breathable and keeps you cool, which is essential when you want to push your limits. Trying out Vuori was an interesting experience as well; even if some items didn’t suit my look, the fabric quality was incredible, emphasizing that comfort should always come first. Sports bras are crucial for support, so I was glad to discover a local brand like I-Five at Simons. It’s important to try these on in person to find what fits your body best, especially since everyone's preferences and fit needs vary. Overall, upgrading your running wardrobe is more than just about aesthetics — it’s about investing in gear that encourages consistency and makes your training enjoyable. Whether you’re preparing to lose weight, improve your pace, or just stay active, having the right clothes makes the journey feel that much better.

This image defines Aminoglycosides as 'A Mean Old Mycin,' used for serious Gram-negative infections like TB or septic shock. It lists examples like Gentamycin and Vancomycin, and clarifies that not all 'mycin' drugs are aminoglycosides, specifically excluding those with 'THRO' in the middle.
This image details the toxic effects of Aminoglycosides: ototoxicity (hearing, balance, tinnitus, CN8 toxicity) and nephrotoxicity (kidney damage), requiring monitoring of hearing and creatinine. It also reiterates that drugs with 'THRO' in their name are not 'Mean Old Mycins'.
This image explains that the 'figure 8' in the ear reminds of CN8 toxicity and q8h administration for Aminoglycosides. It notes that oral 'Mean Old Mycins' are not absorbed systemically but are used for hepatic encephalopathy and pre-op bowel surgery to sterilize the bowel, with Neomycin and Kanamycin as examples.

How to Get Into Running
My best advice is to start slow and run/walk 2-3 times a week! Slowly decrease your walking amount each time and increase your running amount! I struggled getting my first 2-4 miles but I was going out way too fast so my body got too tired too early. It’s also good to establish goals. Do you want t
