An explosive device went off around 4:15 a.m. Friday at B.C. Minister Bowinn Ma’s North Vancouver office, damaging the doorframe and waking nearby residents. No injuries were reported. RCMP are investigating and haven’t ruled out a motive. A loud bang was also reported an hour earlier nearby. The incident left the community shaken, with some MLAs closing their offices as a precaution. Ma called it “very frightening,” and Premier Eby said it was “profoundly concerning.”
