Scene 5: Gateway to the Forgotten Dimension
As soon as the light from the box erupts and devours the entire library, Eric sees not just the hallucinations of an ancient civilization, but he senses the enormous attraction that is dragging him into an unfamiliar deep dimension; the floor of the room shakes violently; the books that used to be lined up in order fall; the letters and symbols on the book cover seem to move, flashing dark blue sparkles, as if about to wake up from his slumber.
Above his head, the ceiling of the room shattered, revealing thousands of stars shimmering, but not the stars he had seen in the night sky. It was a group of stars that formed a strange shape, similar to the ancient symbols engraved on the box, and from the center of the constellation appeared a huge black rift that slowly widened. The rift was not just darkness, but a 'door' that opened to another world, a world full of terrifying energy and whispers that now morphed into a reverberating roar.
Eric tried to retreat, but his body disobeyed, and every fiber in him felt irresistibly drawn to the door of darkness, a sense of fear holding his heart, but deep down, he had a strange sense of excitement, the excitement of facing what was behind that door, what his ancestors had tried to seal for millennia, and now...He's going to go beyond the limits of reality to meet it!
