No more raspberry’s from the garden 🥲
As someone who loves growing raspberries in my garden, losing this season’s crop was really disappointing. From my experience, several factors can affect raspberry yields. Weather conditions like unexpected frost or excessive rain can harm the berries or the plants. Sometimes pests or diseases quietly attack the raspberry bushes, leading to a poor harvest. I learned that proper care—like pruning at the right time and ensuring the soil has good drainage—can help prevent these issues. Also, choosing the right raspberry variety for your climate is key. For those who, like me, have faced a similar loss, it might help to check for signs of common problems such as fungal infections or pest damage early on in the season. In the meantime, I’m exploring how to entice new raspberry growth and protect the plants better in the future. Gardening is a journey, and even when things don’t go as planned, sharing our stories can help others avoid the same pitfalls and cultivate bountiful gardens.
