These are some of the simple meals I’ve been eating lately — nothing extreme, just consistency and better choices.

From my experience, focusing on consistency and making mindful food choices has been key to my progress. Rather than following fad diets, I chose meals that are both simple to prepare and nourishing. One approach I've found effective is combining balanced portions of protein, healthy fats, and fiber-rich vegetables. For example, a typical meal might include grilled chicken or tofu, a side of steamed greens, and a small serving of whole grains like quinoa or brown rice. These meals provide sustained energy and keep me feeling full without overeating. Another important aspect has been honoring my body’s needs postpartum. After having a baby, my nutritional needs shifted, and I focused on foods that support recovery and strength. Adding nutrient-dense ingredients such as leafy greens, colorful vegetables, and healthy fats like avocado and nuts has made a big difference. Tracking my progress has also helped me stay motivated. Losing 15 pounds felt encouraging, but the real goal was gaining strength and vitality rather than just a lower number on the scale. Incorporating small daily habits, like meal prepping and choosing quick and healthy snacks, helped me stay on track even with a busy schedule. I also allowed myself grace on off days, understanding that wellness is a journey. If you're looking for a sustainable and enjoyable way to eat healthier, I recommend starting with simple meals you actually enjoy and making gradual improvements over time. It’s about building habits that support your long-term health in a way that feels empowering and achievable.
