17. (NOT PICTURED) Does it Hurt? by H. D. Carlton
Enjoyed Carlton’s previous works so thought I’d give this a whirl. Went the audiobook route. The plot was interesting but overall I was not a fan. Very Spicy but not much else.
18. Final Girls by Riley Sager
I have been really getting into Sagers books and this one did not disappoint. Final girls was a thrill ride from beginning to end and I definitely enjoyed it. I read it in a day so that should tell you something!
19. Hooked by Emily Mcintire
As a retelling involving characters from Peter Pan,
I wanted more from this book. It was interesting by the dialogue was cringey and the relationships were too back and forth. It got a bit boring for me if I’m honest.
20. Corrupt by Penelope Douglas
This was my first Penelope Douglas book and because she’s so polarizing as an author I didn’t know what to expect. I was ready to hate this book. But I loved it! The darkness of the series is what really pulled me in. And I loved her writing!
21. Hideaway by Penelope Douglas
Second in the Devils Night series and I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read and furthered the big plot of the series along nicely.
22. Kill Switch by Penelope Douglas
Definitely my favorite of the series. I loved this characters arc throughout the series so getting a book with them as the MC was great! I did not really like the relationship happening so quickly but I got over it lol.
23. Conclave by Penelope Douglas
A short novella between books 3 and 4 of the Devils Night series. This book was good. It offered snapshots at characters lives and set up book 4 well.
24. Nightfall by Penelope Douglas
As the final big book of the Devils Night series I wanted so much from this book. And I’m the end it felt rushed. I liked the characters and their stories but the journey from point A to point B was just very rushed. I did enjoy the ending though. A lot.
25. Fire Night by Penelope Douglas
The final novella of the Devils Night series that takes place before the epilogue of book 4. It offered looks at all the Mcs lives after the events of the series. I enjoyed it. It was a quick read!
26. On the Line by Naomi Loud
I loved this book…until the ending. I don’t know what it is with me and book endings! It had me until the last couple chapters. It felt like nothing was resolved and the characters just did not care. The book was cute and a quick read. But the ending man!
